Counseling, School and Educational Psychology

  • Degree: Ph.D.

The Combined Program model provides students with an opportunity to receive specialized training in either Counseling Psychology or School Psychology. The major difference between the two concentrations is School Psychology's focus on child and adolescent client populations as compared to Counseling Psychology's emphasis on older adolescent and adult populations. Based upon available resources, some first- and second-year students receive graduate assistantships or fellowships in the department or elsewhere in the university. And, because of the high quality of our students, many advanced students find assistantships in other University at Buffalo departments and programs.
